With manufacturing facilities in North America, Europe and Asia, multiple research and development centers, and a global network of subsidiaries, distributors and agents, the EJ Group offers global resources to local markets throughout the world.
East Jordan Iron Works, Inc. (EJIW) was established in East Jordan in 1883 by the Malpass family. Fourth and fifth generation family members continue to manage the company today, and have grown the Midwest based business throughout North America. In 2001, EJIW built a state-of-theart foundry in Ardmore, Oklahoma. A history of family involvement, dedicated employees (many of whom are multi-generational), and a commitment to reinvestment have kept EJIW competitive in a global economy.
In the spring of 2000, EJIW purchased Cavanagh Foundry Ltd. Cavanagh Foundry Ltd. has operated an iron foundry in Birr, Ireland for over 200 years. Incorporating modern manufacturing technology, Cavanagh is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high quality ductile iron manhole covers, gratings and frames to the construction, water, civil engineering, telecommunications, cable TV and energy industries in Ireland. A wide range of complementary products are also supplied.
Norinco joined the EJ Group in November 2004. Established in the heart of Europe for more than 30 years, Norinco corporate offices are located at the foundry site in St. Crépin, France. Norinco is a world leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of ductile iron access frames and covers for water, sewer, gas, cable and telecommunications networks. Norinco has sales and distribution facilities in France, Spain, Italy, England, Brazil, Germany, Singapore, and China. Norinco provides innovative, high quality castings to infrastructure markets throughout the world, in more than 100 nations each year.
In 1934 Harry McCoy founded McCoy Machinery Supply Co. Ltd. located in the city of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, where general machining and pattern making was conducted. In 1945, McCoy and his son Archie purchased Kerr & Coombes Foundry which has operated continuously for over 100 years. Modernization processes allowed McCoy Foundry to expand in production size and quality. In 2006, East Jordan Iron Works, Inc. acquired the municipal casting business of McCoy Foundry and subsequently formed a new company,
McCoy Construction Castings, to continue to grow the construction castings business. McCoy Construction Castings has a new sales and distribution center located near Toronto, in St. George, Ontario. |
